Most of the time when I am streaming audio through my Phonak hearing aids, there is distortion in the left side. This happens no matter what device I am streaming from (Lenovo laptop, Samsung tablet, Pixel 9 phone). It happens regardless of whether or not the device has been restarted. It happens even after Phonak tech support has stepped me through rebooting the hearing aids. It happens whether the audio is music, a podcast, or an audio book. I don’t think it happens on phone calls.

To demonstrate the problem for my audiologist, I streamed some music (YouTube source is below) from my laptop while Bluetooth was OFF on my phone. I held the phone microphone right beside my left ear first and then beside my right ear. The recording volume has been increased in Audacity and stereo tracks were mixed down to mono.
